Looking back at your preliminary task (the college magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

From using photo shop for both tasks I can tell and say that I was able to improve my main task better than the preliminary because I had learnt more effects and ways to change my images on my main task. 4 things that I learnt to use and used in my main task was the photo shop rulers. This is allowed to see where I can align things on the cover and also gave me straight and in line text being able to have even space through put the pages with my being able to label up where to put text and to give it a specific space to put the text. Also the clone stamp tool, this tool allowed me to get rid of remove a logo that was one of my models t shirt that I didn't wont on them because it would attract the audience’s eye and would take them away from the main thing that is being represented on the page. A disadvantage of this was that sometimes it cloned things wrong and you would get other things on the image that you didn't want there and it would still catch the audiences eye if it was left like it. So it was quite hard on some parts to hide something without having something else come up when you cloned it. I was able to learn on how to use the eye dropper tool. This tool allowed me to use the same colour and have it displayed somewhere else on the programme so I could just click it and use it on any piece of media that I wanted that colour instead of having to try and guess what the colour was and get it the same. Also this let me use the colour even on a different page on the photo shop programme. Lastly was the magic wand tool, this tool allowed me to delete areas of the image or media that I didn't want and deleted it or gave it a white background. This was a faster process of me trying to rub out all the outskirts around my models to fit things either around or behind them. Also you could change the intensity of it from how close the tool would highlight around something. However a lot of the time the tool would highlight something that you didn't want it to and it would remove it so it had to be quite precise and frustrating on where and how to find the right places to delete the media.
